Greetings,

Hi, I'm Deb. I'm originally from Spencer, WV where I lived my entire childhood and graduated from Roane County High School. (Go Raiders!) I ended up in Morgantown, where I attended WVU, and was a nanny for a wonderful little girl. I graduated with degrees in biology & history. I was working as a Realtor, but now am taking time off to enjoy being married to the man of my dreams. No, I'm not a desperate housewife, I am far too busy.

I twirl fire poi (bascially a chain with a wick of fire in each hand), batons, staff, and I'm experimenting with fire fans. I joke and tell people that I am going to throw knives in one hand while I twirl fire in the other hand so I can go join the circus.

Most people know me as Juliana Delamere in the SCA. I'm what you would call "ADHD" about things in the SCA. I love the arts (in fact, I do a little of everything), but I like throwing sharp pointy things (thrown weapons), and am usually up for trying new things. My original persona was portarying an early fifteenth century lady near London, but I love having clothes & items of all periods. I also seem to get kidnapped by Vikings more frequently lately. (I'm a member of "The Valkyries".) Living with a viking, I have researched many Viking era textiles, and art forms. I started sewing my own (and friends) garb and realize that I'm addicted to fabric now. (My mother would have been so proud.) My main area of interest is 1400-1550's clothing, primarily English & Italian. Though I like (& make) many pieces in earlier periods. A girl can't have too many clothes, can she? I'm a self proclaimed string geek, between needlework and weaving. I'm interested in researching & doing embroidery, especially blackwork. I also have started doing illiminations, though I'm by no means an "artist".

I'm a minister of the lists, and enjoying helping out where ever I can at events, and I am just learning to fight in armor (so I can do combat archery). I'm also considered dangerous as I am extremely interested in throwing axes, knives and twirling fire. I run weekly thrown weapons practices for our local group. I'm also busy organizing events for our local shire.
